Sonora, CA — Most traffic to Tuolumne County have been requested to delay travel plans before the Governor’s”Stay at Home” sequence is raised.
At a joint petition issued from the county’s division of emergency services along with the Town of Sonora, it notes that this will”help with protecting vulnerable populations, mitigate the effect to our rural health system, and finally help contain the spread of COVID-19.”

In compliance with the Governor’s Stay in Home arrangement created March 19, 2020, the
Tuolumne County Office of Emergency providers in partnership with the Town of Sonora, is
asking traffic to Tuolumne County to postpone travel plans prior to the State arrangement is raised.
Honoring this petition will help us in protecting our vulnerable people, mitigate the
effect to our rural health system, and finally help contain the spread of COVID-19.
We admit that some traveling is critical to make sure that supply chain and mandatory
